DATA, ADVERTISING, AND DATA-DRIVEN MARKETING

ST PAULS COLLEGE, under the auspices of its Internal Quality Assurance Cell, in collaboration with the Xavier Board of Higher Education, India, successfully organized an International Seminar on Data, Advertising, and Data-driven Marketing. This insightful seminar was conducted on April 15, 2024, at the Mini Auditorium within the college premises.
Objective: The primary aim of the seminar was to enlighten and equip the final year students of BA, BBA, and B.Com. programs with advanced knowledge and practical insights into the evolving fields of data analytics, advertising, and data-driven marketing strategies.
The seminar commenced at 1:00 PM and featured a series of expert-led sessions and discussions. The key highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by Dr. Aditya Deshbandhu, a distinguished lecturer in Digital Media Sociology from the University of Exeter, UK. Dr. Deshbandhu was accompanied by Ms. Sherin, who also participated in the session, providing valuable contributions.
The event was inaugurated with a warm welcome by Dr Shailaja M and Rev. Dr. Fr. Thomas MJ, who provided the principal’s address and set a motivational tone for the students. Dr. Shailaja, serving as the Master of Ceremonies, efficiently guided the proceedings of the seminar. The introduction of the chief guest and keynote speaker was adeptly handled by Dr. Prashanth V, which was followed by an engaging and informative session led by Dr. Deshbandhu. The vote of thanks was graciously offered by Dr. Babu V, marking the closure of the event.
The International Seminar on Data, Advertising, and Data-driven Marketing provided a platform for students to delve into the complexities of modern marketing strategies influenced by data analytics and digital media. The insights gained from this seminar are expected to significantly benefit the participants in their upcoming professional endeavours.
The seminar was well-attended by the final year students of the BA, BBA, and BCom programs, who actively engaged in the discussions. The interactive format of the seminar allowed students to raise questions and interact directly with the experts, enhancing their understanding and application of data-driven strategies in marketing.
Outcome: The seminar successfully enhanced students’ understanding of data-driven marketing strategies, aligning with the educational objectives set by ST PAULS COLLEGE and the standards for quality education.
