National Entrepreneurship Day
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), in collaboration with the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at ST PAULS COLLEGE, Bengaluru, successfully organized an enlightening session to commemorate National Entrepreneurship Day on 10 November 2025. The event, held at 9 AM in the Mini Auditorium, centred around the inspiring theme “Entrepreneurship – The Art of Thinking Differently,” with the tagline “Inspiring young minds to innovate, create, and lead with vision.” The session featured Ms. Smitha Venkatesh, an accomplished Management Consultant, Auditor, and Trainer, as the resource person, who brought valuable industry insights and practical knowledge to the students. The primary objective of the event was to inspire and motivate young minds to embrace entrepreneurial thinking and develop an innovative mind set, recognizing the importance of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and fostering innovation. Ms. Smitha Venkatesh delivered an insightful presentation that emphasized entrepreneurship as not merely a business venture but as a mind set encompassing creativity, problem-solving, and visionary thinking. The session covered various aspects of entrepreneurial thinking, such as identifying opportunities in challenges, developing innovative solutions to real-world problems, and understanding the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement. Students were particularly engaged during the interactive segments, where they had the opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance on their entrepreneurial aspirations, making complex entrepreneurial concepts accessible and comprehensible. Students expressed appreciation for the valuable insights shared by Ms. Smitha Venkatesh and their enthusiasm to apply the learnings in their academic and professional pursuits, demonstrating the significant impact of such initiatives in preparing students for the dynamic challenges of the modern business world and empowering them to become job creators rather than job seekers.
