Professional Development Programme On – Importance Of Institution’s Innovation Council (Iic) At Non-Technical Institute

IQAC of ST PAULS COLLEGE organized a Professional Development Programme on the importance of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) At Non-Technical Institute in association with St. Claret College, Jalahalli, Bengaluru on April 7, 2022, at ST PAULS COLLEGE Campus.

Objectives of PDP

  • To create awareness about Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and its focuses.
  • To motivate entrepreneurial activities, innovation among students
  • To educate the role of faculties in bringing creativity and innovation among students

Process

Profession Development Programme was organized by the ST PAULS COLLEGE in association with St. Claret College as part of activities under the institutional collaboration. The Program has begun with the formal inauguration and principal of the college Rev.Fr. Dr Thomas M J gave the inaugural address and he emphasised the innovation among students and the preparation of faculties in a similar context. IQAC secretary Ms Saranya invited members of dignitaries and welcomed the resource persons Dr Safeer Pasha M, Assistant Professor and Dr Rashmi B H, Assistant Profession from Department of Commerce, St. Claret College, Bengaluru. A vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Babu V IQAC Coordinator. Resource persons explained the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and also the process of becoming an institutional member of IIC. Incubation, IPR and various other activities under IIC were highlighted by the resource persons.


Context

To enhance the functioning of the ED cell of the ST PAULS COLLEGE and also bring in an innovation and incubation centre under the umbrella of IIC, the professional development programme was organized to train faculty members to motivate students in entrepreneurial activities.


The outcome of PDP

22 faculty members of ST PAULS COLLEGE benefited from this Professional Development Programme. ST PAULS COLLEGE is registered at the IIC portal and become an active member of IIC.
