11 | Debate on eLearning
A debate competition on the theme E-learning was organized by the language department of ST PAULS COLLEGE, Bengaluru on 11 December 2020, in the presence of the in-charge of the department Ms. Trapty Sharma. All students of Hindi language participated in the virtual debate.
The student’s point of view was addressed and debated upon in the hour-long session. Arguments like the affordability of devices, transportation cost, psychological aspects, the importance of social interaction, benefits of “environment-friendly learning”, etc., were debated in the session. Each participant was given three minutes each to share his/her perspective followed by a Q&A round by their competitors, audience and teachers.
The students participated in the debate with much enthusiasm and gusto along with the audience who seemed just as involved as the participants. About 50 students participated in the debate. The program was well coordinated by Shweta and Noyal, the student coordinators.
09 | Anti-Corruption Day 2020
Corruption is criminal, immoral and betrayal of public trust. Corruption has a disproportionate impact on the poor and most vulnerable by reducing access to services, including health, education and justice. It makes the life of the poor more and more miserable. Let us stand against corruption.
07 | Library Quiz 2020
The Department of Library and Information Centre of ST PAULS COLLEGE organized an intra-departmental Online Library Quiz under the efficient leadership of Ms Malini T.S, the Librarian on 7 December 2020. An hour-long quiz involved topics such as Current Affairs, Sports, Literature, Abbreviations, etc. The quiz tested the knowledge as well as the accuracy of the participants. The event was coordinated by the student representatives and was attended by nearly 55 participants, which included the students and the faculty of the college.
05 | Farewell to Diploma Students
Farewell to the students of Diploma in Photography and Filmmaking for the batch 2019-2020 was held on Friday, 27 November 2020 at ST PAULS COLLEGE, Bengaluru at 11.30 am.
Mr Ammel, one of the graduating students welcomed the chief guest, faculty and the students to the farewell program.
Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Thomas M J, in his speech took the opportunity to congratulate the students and spoke about the need to work hard and be focused if they want to make their dream a reality. He also said that the graduating students are blessed to have their hobby as their career.
Later Mr Anoop Antony, faculty for Diploma courses encouraged the students to put their knowledge into practice for achieving success in their career. Representing the graduating students, Alwin, Shreyas and Prabhanjan shared their academic experience in the college.
Principal handed over a memento to Ammel, the topper of the diploma program. And the farewell concluded with refreshments for all.
02 | Guest Talk on HIV-AIDS Awareness Organized by NSS Unit and Health Club
Promoting awareness on HIV-AIDS on International HIV-AIDS Awareness Day, the NSS Unit in association with Health Club of ST PAULS COLLEGE organized an HIV-AIDS Awareness Program on 2 December 2020. The program aimed to educate and create awareness on HIV-AIDS prevention, care, treatment and support.
Mr. Gowtham R, NSS Programme Officer moderated the program. The session started with the welcome address by Ms Savitha HS of the Management Department. She welcomed the Resource Person Dr. Helen Mary, Fr. Thomas M J, the Principal, members of management, teaching fraternity, volunteers and students of ST PAULS COLLEGE.
Dr. Helen Mary started her talk by explaining what is HIV Epidemiology, the difference between HIV- Virus and AIDS-Disease and how they impact the patients. She also explained how HIV causes AIDS and how it’s transmitted from person to person. The session was highly informative and was appreciated by all the faculty and students.

The celebration of the feast of Blessed James Alberione, founder of the Society of St Paul, was held on Thursday, 26.11.2020 at ST PAULS COLLEGE, Bangalore at 3 pm.
The programme started with the welcome of the Chief Guest Rev.Fr. T.C. Joseph, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Ampattukuziyil, Chairman of ST PAULS COLLEGE, Rev. Fr. Thomas M.J., Principal, Rev.Fr. Sajith Cyriac, Vice-Principal, Rev. Fr. Arockia Swamy, Administrator, HoDs, teaching and non-teaching staff.
The emcee of the day Ms Jennifer gave a brief introduction about Blessed James Alberione. Despite various challenges he faced, he could still spread the good news and good literature with the help of his collaborators. Hence, he earned the title “Marvel of our times” by Pope Paul VI.
The celebration began with a prayer song followed by an inspiring speech on the life of the Founder by Rev.Fr. T.C. Joseph. A short video highlighting the vision and mission of the founder and the various works carried out by him was played for all. After the video, all wished Happy Feast while the dignitaries joined the Chief Guest in the cutting of the cake. The celebration came to an end with the refreshments shared for all.
24 | Webinar on Unlocking the NEP 2020
Universal high-quality education is the best way forward for developing and maximizing our country’s rich talents and resources for the good of the individual, the society, the country, and the world. The main objective of this webinar was to focus on the challenges with a term “unlocking” in implementing new education policy and suggestion to improve the same. With this focus in mind, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), ST PAULS COLLEGE, Bengaluru organized a webinar on “Unlocking the NEP” on 19th November 2020. The Principal Rev. Fr. Thomas M J welcomed the resource person Rev. Fr. Sunny Jacob and the participants. Ms. Anitha S, in-charge, Department of Management introduced the resource person of the day.
Rev. Fr. Sunny Jacob, Member, International commission for Jesuit education society, secretary-JEA, South Asia and National advisor-JAAI, Author of Educating India: A Response to the Modi Government’s Education Policy, elaborated on the salient feature of the national education policy with special emphasis on state of higher education institution with reference to NEP 2020. He also spoke about challenges in NEP and recommendation made by him to the Ministry of Education. He concluded that the draft of the new education policy had a vision to centralized the education system in India and it is importance to thoroughly analyze the impact of the same. Dr. Babu V, IQAC coordinator & Head, Department of Commerce, proposed the vote of thanks to the resource person, management, staff over 204 webinar participants.
23 | Tarunmunch - Intra Departmental Hindi Fest
The Department of Languages organized an intra-departmental Hindi fest titled, TARUN MANCH 2020, under the efficient leadership of Mrs Trapty Sharma. The entire event was live-streamed through zoom. The programme began with a welcome speech and an introduction to the fest by Mrs. Trapty Sharma. It was followed by the streaming of various videos of dance, singing, poetry, comedy performances by the participants. It was also an interactive session wherein the participants shared how they were inspired to come up with such creative expressions. The event ended with the votes of thanks by the Head of the Department who was in praise of the hard work and creative involvement of the participants. The event was coordinated by the student representatives, and it was attended by nearly 75 students.
20 | Dept. of Humanities - JAM
On 13th November, Humanities Club organised Just A Minute, coordinated by Mr. Dan John Mathew and judged by Ms. Saranya Francis. This event was conducted exclusively for the students of the Humanities department. There were 20 participants in the meeting, it was a fun filled session which provided students to exhibit their talents in cognitive thinking and vocabulary. Variety of apps were used for the seamless functioning of the event, like timer, Random Picker, etc. A Google form was prepared and sent to the students for registration purpose.
There were 11 contestants who spoke on variety of topics arranged by Mr. Dan. Some of the topics were:

- Role of women in society
- Artificial intelligence
- Corona Virus
The event was judged on 4 criteria: Spontaneity, Communication, Content, and Presentation. The winners are:

Mr. Vijeth Veerappa Saliyan, alumni, ST PAULS COLLEGE, was the resource person of the day. As a student, he has made a significant contribution to the field of research and the publications and presentations in the college and other instituted and has won several best paper awards.
Mr. Saliyan started the session with an open question “Why do you think research is important and why should one do it?” Research, unlike curiosity, is not just about getting an answer rather exploring, analysing and studying something more deeply.
This highly informative orientation session had the exact information a beginner in research would require, neither too sophisticated nor completely amateur. He dealt with topics like what is a research paper, types of research papers, the structure of a research paper and simple rules to be followed while writing a paper. The session was very interactive with students posing a lot of questions and clarifications.
This orientation enabled students to understand various other aspects of research. They realized that the session was just the start of the long journey ahead.

04 | Student Council Elections
Virtual Election of the Student Council was held at ST PAULS COLLEGE on 4th November 2020 at 1 pm. Ms Dalvy Jose, Faculty Coordinator of Student Council briefed the election procedure and wished the contestants good luck. Contestants were nominated based on the recommendations of HODs and Incharges of various Departments. Ms Leesha Nair, outgoing Vice president of the Students Council welcomed everyone to the Election Campaign and shared her experience of serving the institution as a student council member. It was then the turn of the candidates to speak to the students for three minutes and seek their votes.
Sumin (III BBA), Riddhi (III BBA), Bhavyashree (II BA), Mary Pavitra (II BBA), Renish (II BBA), Anjumanara (II BA) and Shilpa D Singh (III BCOM) contested for the post of President. The students contesting for the post of Cultural secretaries were Kevin Joseph (III BBA), Divya J (III BCOM), Meghana (III BCOM), Abhiya (II BA), and Sujith (II BBA). Anushree (II BA), Mhd Shabaz (III BCOM), Edwin (II BBA), Tanmay (II BCOM), and Nanditha (II BCOM) contested for the post of Sports Secretaries.
Mr Shelly from the IT department explained to the students about the mode of online election and filling of the google form. Ten minutes were given to the students to cast their vote, and the link was closed after the allotted time.
The results were announced by the Principal on 5 November 2020 during the common virtual assembly. The following students were elected as the student council members:

27th October 2020 was a memorable day in the life of all the First-year students of 2020-21 Batch at ST PAULS COLLEGE. The day went on well as it was filled with a lot of fun, activities, laughter and enthusiasm. Unlike previous years, this year had a twist as the celebration went online due to Pandemic. The party started at 1 pm with a welcome speech by Ms Dalvy Jose, Faculty, Dept of Commerce.
After the formalities, the senior students started with an icebreaker session that involved many riddles, tongue twisters, etc. The freshers had already sent their videos to the organizing team showcasing their talents in dancing, singing, music, painting, creative writing, crafts, artistic works, etc. A few students were shortlisted by a panel of Judges before the event. On the freshers’ day, all the shortlisted videos were played online.
The panel of Judges was consisting of Fr Sajith, Vice Principal, Dr Babu HOD, Dept of Commerce and Ms Saranya, Asst Professor, Dept of Humanities asked the participants questions relating to their performance. Fr Thomas M J, the principal announced Mr Noyal Viju and Dakshija Trivedi of I BA as the Mr and Ms Navatara respectively for the academic year 2020-21. The program ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms Sumathi C P, Faculty, Dept of Management. It was indeed a day filled with much fun, a day to be cherished for a long time to come.

10 | World Mental Health Day Lecture Series - “Importance of Counselling”
The faculty of psychology under the Humanities department of ST PAULS COLLEGE organised an online lecture on the topic, “Importance of Counselling” with Mrs Usha Ravi, the college counselor, as the resource person. The event was moderated by Ms. Saranya Francis and the speaker was introduced by Sister Joyce.
The session began with understanding the basic definition of counselling and the difference between professional counselling and advice from informal sources like our friends and family. The fundamental benefits of counselling are to get clarity to learn about not only ourselves but also understanding others in a better way to have better relationships and to find potential solutions to problems so one could feel less stuck or overwhelmed in their life.
Counselling provides a warm and comfortable environment which facilitates self-exploration and help in setting goals and ways of reaching them. A third person i.e. a counsellor can provide help in structuring an objective, positive, non-judgemental approach as there is no emotional involvement that helps in neutrally understanding a problem which causes turbulence in the person’s mental health while equally respecting their confidentiality.
Myths about counselling were briefly discussed and appropriate corrective inputs were explained to the students. Some false beliefs like counselling provides solutions or it is only required in cases of career-oriented guidance or substance abuse were debunked and the need of counseling as a well-being measure was emphasised. The speaker also explained about the difference between counselling psychologist and a psychiatrist and few alarming statistics by World Health Organisation which stated India as the most depressed country in the world were also studied.
The event was concluded by a very simple and motivating thought that no problem is too small to be discussed and a very informative Question & Answer session done with the students. It ended with a warm thanks to the resource person by the moderator. A total of 182 students benefited from the session.
09 | Guest Lecture during World Mental Health Week
Topic: Suicide Prevention

The Faculty of Psychology under the Department of Humanities organized a guest lecture online on the topic ‘Suicide Prevention’ on 8 October 2020 at 10 am. The event took place as part of the World Mental Health Week, and Dr. Avinash De Sousa, a well-known psychiatrist and psychotherapist was the resource person of the day. Fr Thomas MJ, principal welcomed the resource person and Mr. Jenin introduced him to the participants.
The speaker began the session by briefing the participants some harsh realities and statistics related to suicide in India. For example, the highest number of suicide attempts and cases on an average is seen between the ages of 15 to 30. Every four minutes someone in India takes his/her life, making suicide the nation’s leading causes of death. Old age suicides are highly ignored and rarely talked about.
The speaker underlined the requisite to ‘reinvent’ the present suicide prevention methods because of its ineffectiveness and how suicides are “an endemic, and epidemic as well as a pandemic.” He challenged the common suicide myth, stating that ‘those people who talk about suicide probably don’t have the guts to pull it off, it is only the silent ones who succumb’ should be changed. Suicidal thoughts can occur to anyone, and what is required is to talk it out and get help because every suicide is avertible with due assistance and care. “There is no shame in seeking mental help. Taking help does not make you weak and thus every suicide is preventable,” noted Dr. De Sousa.
The talk highlighted the need to surround oneself with positive vibes to keep oneself mentally fit and healthy. In addition, we are to learn different coping mechanisms in order to avoid succumbing to negative feelings when they occur. It is also our responsibility to spend time talking and listening to people who are distressed and are in need of psychological assistance.
Talking about the educational pressure on students, Dr. De Sousa shared a moving incident of his friend who channelized her educational ambition and pressures productively. The narrative proved to be an eye-opener for the participants so as not to get disheartened at the face of strains and obstacles. The speaker also discussed the resilience needed for survival. According to him, humour is of paramount importance, and the choices we make should never be done under pressure. The availability of suicide helplines, organizations and online consultants, etc., were some of the points touched upon as well.
At the end of the session, the floor was open to the participants’ questions. Dr. Avinash left no question unanswered and explained everything with much clarity and utmost patience.
The session ended with the emcee Ms. Anitha HS proposing the vote of thanks.
05 | Guest Talk & Workshop - Desktop Publishing Software
ST PAULS COLLEGE, Bengaluru, conducted a “Desktop Publishing Software Workshop” on 5th October 2020 organized by the Post Graduate Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. The guest lecture was given by Mr. Suhas S Kashyap an alumnus of ST PAULS COLLEGE. Over 70 students from PG and UG participated in the guest lecture under the supervision of Mr. Jenin Raj, Head, Post Graduate Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. Aditi R Ural of IInd BA introduced the guest speaker and read the profile.
The workshop started off with the introduction of the new software, Scribus; it’s tools, new features and different properties. The students keenly listened and learned more about the print media. The participants were taught shortcuts and methods to make a layout design and editing of newspapers. Mr. Suhas made the session interactive and easy to understand for the students by explaining the layout design with the example of an article. The question and answer session at the end helped the students to clarify all their doubts. The workshop ended with the vote of thanks by Sushmitha S Kalyani, IInd year PG student. The participants were highly appreciative of the workshop on the new software.
03 | Talk on Social Media & Mental Health
The Department of Humanities, Psychology organized the World Mental Health Week from 6-10 October 2020. On 3rd October Mr. Vijeth Veerappa, an alumni of ST PAULS COLLEGE and the Social Media Incharge for Kerala in the youth wing of the Congress Party and Head of Political Communications and an ad agency called Axis Vantage was the Guest Speaker for the day.
His interactive session focused on the pros and cons of Social Media on our Mental Health. The youth of today are prone to Social Media addictions which lead to different mental disorders. Using selected video clippings and images, the speaker highlighted how media feeds are connected to make us want to see videos relating to the topic of our interest. He also spoke of several research findings which have a cause and effect relationship between increased involvement in social media leading to depression, anxiety, loneliness, self-harm and even suicidal thoughts and suicidal attempts.
Speaking about the positive aspects of social media, the speaker discussed how it can be a platform to showcase our creativity and technological talents. It can also increase self-confidence by empowering introverts to discuss their ideas, enables people to create life-long friends, and strengthens social awareness and empathy.
The participants opined that the session made them introspect about the time they spend on social media and the fact that it can be detrimental if they get addicted to it.
02 | Leadership Skills Program organized by MCC
The Management and the HODs of ST PAULS COLLEGE participated in the Leaderships Skills Program organized by Mount Carmel College for its mentee Institutions on 29 September 2020 at 4 pm. This programme was an initiative by the MCC to enhance the competencies of the heads of the Institutions and Departments for holistic development. Dr Kavitha Singh, the IQAC Coordinator of MCC welcomed the participants and introduced the Resource Person Dr Suma Singh, Dean, Department of Humanities, MCC.
Dr Suma started the session with the Beautiful Quote “Being a Leader you have to make the difference”. She took the examples of Mr. Varghese Kurian, Founder of Amul and the Father of Milk Revolution; Savithribai Phule, the first female teacher of India, etc., who set out to make a difference in the society. She discussed the leadership qualities in higher education and emphasized the power of education in the present scenario. She enhanced the knowledge of the participants on the changing nature of the education sector. She focused on four important factors of Leadership in Higher Education: Administration – Authority, Academic – Build on Knowledge, Research – Involving in Research activities and Engagement – Building a network with the faculty and students to strengthen the curriculum
Further, Dr Suma explained about the roles and responsibilities of all the key designated people in the institution like Principal, Vice Principal, Deans and Heads of the Departments, Controller of Examinations and Members of the Faculty. She highlighted the characteristics of a great academic leader. She also spoke about the derailers who spoil the smooth functioning and the growth of the institution. This was followed by a Q&A session the participants appreciating MCC and the resource person for the enriching session on Leadership Skills in the Academic Sector today.
The programme ended with Ms Renju K Proposed from MCC proposing gratitude to all for their active participation.

28 | Kannada Guest Lecture
Department of language in ST PAULS College organized a guest lecture titled ‘Vachana Sahityadalli — Jeevana Koushalya’ on 25 September 2020. Dr Sheeladevi S Malimat, Associate Professor and Research Scholar of BMS Mahila Vidyalaya Basavnagudi, Bengaluru was the resource person. The event began with the welcome address by Ms Savithri C, Assistant Professor of the College, followed by a prayer led by Varshitha of II B.Com. The talk aimed at creating awareness among the students the importance and necessity of cultivating various life skills. The speaker highlighted some of the pertinent issues of student life and how they are to be addressed through adequate life skills, especially communication skills. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Ms Savithri.
28 | Hindi Guest Lecture
‘मन वक्त सता रहा है मगर कैसे जीना है वो भी तोह बता रहा है’ was a good reason for the department of language to organize a timely guest lecture on 25 September 2020, as the pandemic is still in effect. Dr Chetna Upadhyay was the resource person of the day.
Mrs. Trapty Sharma, the head of the department welcomed the gathering, and Sweta Choubey of II BA introduced the speaker.
Dr Chetna began her session by reciting ‘Om Santi’ which induced the participants to maintain composure and positivity during the talk. She continued to explain how our thoughts influence our daily life. If one wants to change one’s life, one should begin to think positively.
In reference to the prevailing pandemic, Dr Chetna said, “The pandemic paved the way for us to spend more time at home and to relate with our family members. It enabled us to explore and bring out the talents and hobbies hidden in us.” She also added many other positive changes brought about by Covid 19 despite its negative effects.
Dr. Chetna, further explicated that easy things always bring us down whereas difficult things take us up. Approaching every problem/issue with a positive mind can be productive. It is upto us to decide and live happy, after all ‘happiness is an inside job,’ she highlighted.
The session was an interactive one, and it ended with a vote of thanks by Rohith Aradhya of II BA.

28 | Report - Participation of SPC - Webinar on Environment and Development
Hosted by -Centre For Sustainable Development, Indian Institute of Public Administration (Karnataka Regional Branch) and UGC-PARAMARSH, Mount Carmel College – Autonomous
Sustainable development and environmental concern have been an area of careful consideration for ST PAULS COLLEGE. To ensure that we are well aligned and well informed regarding the facts associated with the above subject, the principal along with other faculty members participated in a workshop organized by the Centre For Sustainable Development,
Indian Institute of Public Administration (Karnataka Regional Branch) and UGC-PARAMARSH, Mount Carmel College –Autonomous. The session was highly insightful with presenters speaking about varied concerns surrounding the environment and sustainability.
The speakers were: Dr. M. K Ramesh (Professor of Law, National Law School of India University, Bangalore) he spoke on Environmental Law with special reference to draft EIA Notification, 2020. Followed by a dynamic discussion on gender index and sustainability by Dr. Priyanca Mathur (Associate Professor, Centre for Research in Social Sciences, (CERSSE), JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) under the title of Sustainable Development Goals in the Indian Context followed by a first person account of experiences pertaining to pollution and sustainability by Dr. R. Srinivas (Executive Director, Centre for Sustainable Development) under the topic: Environmental Governance.
The sessions were interactive and all staff members participated with keen interest and gusto, they raised pertinent questions and received relevant responses from the resource persons to the same and resolved to transfer the information received to the student community.
22 | Bridge Course
ST PAULS COLLEGE regularly organizes and conducts Bridge Course, an orientation programme for new students in the following disciplines such as Commerce, Accountancy, Optional English, Journalism and Political Science and prepares them for Higher Education. The one-week bridge course comprises of students from other disciplines and those who have done poorly in their previous classes. They are mentored and groomed by the faculty through a well-designed syllabus programme that equips them with academic enhancement and a broader understanding of the subject and ensures a seamless transition from PU/12th Std to College life.
The objective of this course is to help students improve their knowledge and understanding of subjects that relate to their particular course. It also aims to bridge the gap that would possibly exist between the academia of what they have studied and their graduate academic environ and partly eliminate the fear factor that might cripple their understanding into becoming qualitative graduates.

ST PAULS COLLEGE has been at the forefront of Creating Professionals for A Better Tomorrow ever since its inception aims to promote an entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen in our students and to this end, the college has established a Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell. To ensure that the faculty members, leading the cell from ST PAULS COLLEGE, are well informed regarding the available opportunities and knowledge bank on the above subject, Fr. Thomas M. J., Dr. Babu. V., Mr. Jenin. S., Mr. Gowtham G and Ms. Saranya Francis participated in a workshop organized by the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE) on 21.09.2020. The presenter Dr. Neetha Mahadev shared several insights on creation, packaging, innovation and scalability of products created by student entrepreneurs and Mr. Divakar from MGNCRE shared details of the various support systems and schemes available in this regard. The faculty members interacted with the resource persons and resolved to transfer the information received to the students back in college and implement the ideas in the service of the student community. It was a worthwhile experience participating in the workshop.

Today, on the birthday of Dr S. Radhkrishnan, former President of India, our nation celebrates Teachers’ Day, a day to recognize the services rendered by all the teachers. I salute all you teachers for the vital role you play in shaping the minds of our students and thus the future of our nation. Your tireless work and wholehearted contribution ensure that the students under your care reach their fullest potential, not only in academics but also in all the extracurricular activities. We remember with love and appreciation all our teachers, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the teachers of ST PAULS COLLEGE for the excellent work you generously and joyfully carry out.

16 | Independance Day Celebration
In the new normal of online classes during the Covid-19 pandemic, ST PAULS COLLEGE celebrated the 74th Independence Day on 15 August 2020 adhering to the norms set by the Government, with social distancing and without students in the campus.
Owing to the pandemic, the college had a “low-key” affair, with fewer dignitaries in attendance. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Rev Br Jesusdas Amirtham, Founder of the Peace Club-India, who also hoisted the National Flag. Fr Sebastian, Chairman; Fr Thomas MJ, Principal; Fr Arockia Swamy, Administrator of ST PAULS COLLEGE were also present during the occasion along with other members of the management and a few faculty members. In his Independence Day address, the Principal highlighted the struggle our nation underwent to get Independence and how we should work effectively and how we are together fighting this pandemic during these dreadful days.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem.

“So long as you do not achieve social liberty, whatever freedom is provided by the law is of no avail to you.” – B.R. Ambedkar
God created us to be free in this world. Freedom is something that we are born with, something that no one can take away or should take away. It’s a day of celebration for all of us because it’s the commemoration of our victory over the colonial rule, violence, hatred and division, a victory that our forefathers bought with their hard work and sacrifice, a victory hard-earned.
Unlike in the past years, we have restrictions to come together and celebrate as a family or as an institution due to the pandemic. However, we made it a point to celebrate the occasion with a limited number of members of the management and faculty by hoisting the flag, singing the national anthem and remembering with gratitude our great freedom fighters. We remind ourselves of our duty to pray for this nation that goes through much struggle and division and help it celebrate the diversity that’s unique to us.
As Paulites and as responsible citizens of this country, it’s our duty to work hard to create a better nation for the generations that follow, a nation that does not judge on the basis of caste, colour, region or religion but as one people and one nation striving towards truth, justice and liberty. There are enough hate and violence in this world, but as a united nation, we can build a better future, full of love, care, support and understanding.
