About Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, ethical research, and a profound understanding of psychological theories and applications. Our MSc Psychology program integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experience, preparing students for diverse careers in psychology.

PAULHARSH 2025

PAULHARSH ’25, an intercollegiate psychology fest organized by the PG Department of Psychology, ST PAULS COLLEGE, Bengaluru, on March 11, 2025. The first edition is set to provide a dynamic platform for students with the opportunity to showcase their talents across various disciplines. The events are designed to spark creativity, challenge critical thinking, and encourage meaningful connections. We warmly invite you to engage in artistic expression, test detective instincts, compete in quizzes, immerse oneself in psychology, theater, and much more.

Events

BEST PSYCHOLOGIST

  • Individual event.
  • There will be 3  rounds.
  • Topic will be given on spot
  • Round 1 : Rapid fire quiz
  • Round 2 : Turncoat-Ethical dilemma 
  • Round 3 : Mental health campaign idea. (Must be prepared beforehand) 
  • Time limit – 45 minutes + 15 minutes 
  • The caution should be taken to refrain from displaying obscenity, violence, prejudice, defamation etc in the theme.

    MAD ADS

    • Team Limit: 5+2 members 
    • Theme will be given on the spot.
    • Time Limit: 10 minutes + 5 minutes. 
    • 10 minutes preparation time for each team.
    • The caution should be taken to refrain from displaying obscenity, violence, prejudice, defamation etc in Advertisement.

      QUIZ

      • Team Limit: 2 members per team. 
      • A minimum of 3 rounds. 
      • The number of rounds depends upon the number of entries received.
      • Subject – General Psychology.

        FACE PAINTING

        • Individual Event 
        • Theme will be given on spot
        • Time Limit: 45+15 minutes to complete the painting.
        • Participants must bring their own materials (paints, brushes, models (face), etc.)

          MURDER MYSTERY

          • Individual event.
          • Time Limit: 20+10 minutes per session.
          • The event will be conducted in batches. 11 people in one batch is considered.
          • Fastest person to solve the mystery wins.

            COMIC STRIP

            • Individual event
            • Time limit:45+15 minutes
            • Theme will be given on the spot
            • Only A4 sheets will be provided. 
            • Comic strip should contain a minimum of 4 grids.
            • Theme must be conveyed via the storyline.

              STREET PLAY

              • Theme – Mental Health Awareness
              • Team Limit:  6+4 members.
              • Time Limit: 10+5 minutes.
              • Content should include a strong and clear message.
              • Participants should arrange their own props. 
              • Use of makeup and mics is strictly not allowed.
              • The caution should be taken to refrain from displaying obscenity, violence, prejudice, defamation etc in the content.

                Rules and Regulations

                GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

                • The event is open to all UG students only.
                • On-spot registration at the Event Venue begins from 8:30 AM-10:00 AM.
                • All the Events have limited entries.
                • Any Offensive behaviour, indiscipline or malpractice in any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
                • Any articles considered hazardous by the organizing committee would be withheld at the entrance.
                • Props, costumes or any other materials will NOT be provided by the host college.
                • All participants must report an hour before the commencement of the event.
                • The organising committee has the right to reschedule/cancel any event.
                • The decision of the Judges’ and the organising committee will be final and binding.
                • For any Events with registrations of less than 4 teams, the cash prize will be subject to change.
                • Entry for Non-participants from registered colleges would be permitted with a valid College ID
