About

The innovation cell of ST PAULS COLLEGE is a platform to train and mould students to showcase their talents and potentials and help them inculcate innovative ideas through which the students can develop their skills and knowledge. Innovation Council of ST PAULS COLLEGE motivates teachers and students to experience, explore, research, and use appropriate tools and techniques to unveil something new to society at large.

ST PAULS COLLEGE was selected by MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC) for the constitution of the Innovation Council in the college to promote innovation and incubation among its students by encouraging, inspiring, and nurturing them through activities at regular intervals. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has established MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC) at AICTE with the purpose of systematically fostering the culture of innovation in all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

The institution suggests various activities focussing on different aspects of innovation and start-ups in its calendar of events.  These activities are organised in the form of impact lecture series, leadership talks, webinars, workshops on innovation and incubation, start-up ideas, etc.

Functions of IIC

  • To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by MIC.
  • Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
  • Organise periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
  • Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organisations.
  • Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by the institution’s faculty and students.
  • Organize Hackathons, idea competitions, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industries.
