Placement Cell

Placements are increasingly playing a major role in any higher educational institution of repute. In line with the motto of the institution, “Creating Professionals for a Better Tomorrow”, ST PAULS COLLEGE has a proactive training, development and placement cell, coordinated by a full-time placement officer. The institution helps each student in exploring placement opportunities by inviting various companies for campus recruitment of students. We are proud of the success of our systematic and sustained approach in helping to launch our students on a meaningful career path. The Placement cell takes initiative and helps students to enable them to have better employability skills and in getting their ‘dream’ jobs. It works in coordination with all the departments of the college to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience. It directs programs aimed to train students in various job-oriented skills. Training workshops, industrial visits, guest lectures, seminars, internships and job fairs are organized for students to explore the professional setting. These programs equip students with a strong skillset that matches the industry standard.

Objectives:

  • To guide students to choose right career and
  • To share knowledge, skill, and aptitude and meet the manpower requirements of the Industry
  • To provide employment opportunities and professional training to the students
  • To mould students to meet the corporate expectation and place them in reputed companies based on the expected job profiles of each student
  • To create awareness among students regarding available career options and help them identify their career objectives
  • To guide students to develop skills and job-search strategies required to achieve their career objectives
  • To act as a bridge between students, alumni and employers
  • To take feedback from industry and provide inputs for curriculum

Action Plan:

  • Organize Campus Drive for all the students and invite several reputed companies for campus selection and recruitment
  • Sustained training for placements and competitive examinations across the semesters for UG and PG students
  • Special training and assistance for the final year students to prepare CVs, take aptitude tests, conduct group discussions and prepare them for interviews
  • Short-term courses on soft skills, life skills and personality development to facilitate the career planning process
  • Career Guidance sessions from industry experts to help students to make informed choices regarding their careers
  • Conduct Mock-Interviews for the students to prepare them for real interviews
