NCC

NCC is the single largest uniformed youth organization of the world which functions to develop qualities of character, leadership, comradeship, courage, discipline, spirit of adventure, secular outlook and the ideals of selfless service amid the youth of the country. National Cadet Corps is a tri-services organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth into disciplined and patriotic citizens. Students are enrolled for a period of 3 years. The NCC wing of the college (2 Karnataka Battalion NCC Wing) organizes regular parades with the support of the battalion and cadets take part in camps, certificate exams, etc. The NCC wing is also involved in conducting various events which enable the cadets to be patriotic and socially responsible citizens.

“Unity and Discipline” as motto of the NCC, it strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of the nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of the country and moulding them into united and disciplined citizens of the nation.

The soldier youth foundation in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course. The NCC unit of ST PAULS COLLEGE provides a platform for students to be familiarised with a disciplined routine and life whether or not they might opt for a future career in the armed forces.
