Guest Lecture on Parliamentary Communication

On 18 June 2022, the PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of ST PAULS COLLEGE organised a guest lecture on Parliamentary Communication. Mr J Gnanashakher, Chief PRO and Parliamentary Guide was the resource person.

The media and communication functions of Parliament play a critical role in enhancing citizens’ understanding of the work of the country’s legislatures. Mr Gnanashakher dealt with the basic tenets of Parliament and the roles and responsibilities of journalists in reporting parliamentary affairs.

The guest lecture turned out to be a big success as every participant who attended it left the room learning something new about the parliament and with a wish of wanting to know more. The lecture was attended by the students of Journalism and Political Science.
